INFORMED BIRTH
(crafting your birth plan)
Your birth matters. Don't let an AI prescribe it!
Together we will take the time to go through your wishes, questions, fears, and create your birth plan: a document to define and communicate your wishes and preferences for labor and birth. It is helpful for you, your birth companion(s), and health providers.
While you can't truly "plan" birth, you can prepare for it with confidence. This isn't about finding a template online; it's about a dedicated process of discovery and empowerment to make informed decisions.
I support you to reflect on what is really important to you for this birth (e.g. understand pain management options, common interventions, prepare for the unexpected - what does an in-labour c-section look like?...)
I’ll listen carefully, offer clear, evidence-based information, and guide you in exploring your options so that your birth plan is a true reflection of what matters most to you.
What’s included:
-
Initial 20 min phone call to get to know each other, hear your story, and understand your priorities (book here)
-
2 sessions of 90 min each (online sessions, but in person might also be possible) dedicated to exploring your options, answering your questions with up-to-date, evidence-based information, and support creating your personalised birth plan.
-
Digital resources (including your bilingual birth plan), to support based on your topics of interest (e.g., evidence on pain relief methods, water birth, common interventions, decision-making tools) and guided meditations to help you relax and focus.
This is your space to be heard and prepare for a birth that feels right for you, whatever that looks like.

--------------------------
This service is designed to help you create your birth plan, not to replace a full childbirth education course.
To make our sessions as productive as possible, it's best if you already have an understanding of the birth process.
You can access childbirth education classes (Geburtsvorbereitung) via your health insurance, usually free for mothers. There are also good free resources online.
If you have financial difficulties but you need the support of a doula, please, reach out and we will make a plan together.
A doula is not a midwife. I am not a medical professional.
My approach is complementary to the care and guidance you receive from your midwife.
