Anne was the doula for me & my fiancée, Léa and me. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to be there with us. For me personally, having Anne by our side on the day of the birth and in the days that followed meant the world to me. She brought so much calm, kindness, and support. Hands down, the best decision we made during our pregnancy journey was to hire Anne. I had a very intense, difficult and long labour (28 hours), and Anne was there every step of the way as a calm and reassuring presence. She is someone that cares so deeply about what she does and that translates directly into the service she provides. She consistently went above and beyond for us and we are forever grateful to her and the love and care she shared with us. I couldn’t have been happier to have Anne’s presence for my recent birth. As a first time mum, I was doing a lot of reading and preparing with my midwives, so I wasn’t completely unprepared. However Anne was able to provide me with invaluable information and support prior, during and after the birth. I would describe my encounter with Anne as God sent as it was perfectly timed during my pregnancy. I was going through a very stressful and confusing time due to receiving mixed advice from Gynaecologists on the upcoming birth of my second baby. I had a very traumatic birth for my first baby which led to some serious tearing, so naturally I was very scared when the time was approaching for my second birth. Anne was super resourceful, taking the initiative to check the findings of medical studies related to my situation as well as contacting medical professionals to seek advice. Anne was super supportive from the beginning, she gave me confidence and reassured me that my feelings were valid, something that some of the medical professions that I encountered had dismissed. During the birth, having Anne with me made my birth experience so positive. She helped me to breathe through my contractions, to understand that contractions are not just pain but a step closer to me meeting my baby and to trust my body. Having her at the birth of my baby really helped to have my wishes respected by the hospital birth team. This doesn't always happen judging from previous experience. I felt like a real person with my own mind and not just another statistic. I was able to take happy pictures with my baby just a couple of hours after giving birth. My experience with Anne before, during and after the birth of my baby was priceless. The emotional, physical and moral support that I received from Anne during a tough time has made me have a very positive outlook on giving birth. I would summarise my experience with Anne like having my best-friend of all time whom I am comfortable with to express my deepest concerns and whom is knowledgeable, experienced and knows how best to support me at all stages.

She didn’t just support me through my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey — she cared for me, my precious newborn, and my sweet older daughter with such gentleness, wisdom, and devotion that it felt like having a guardian angel by our side. Every visit was like a warm hug for the soul. She brought peace, calm, laughter, and so much love into our home.

As my due date came and went, and my baby took their time arriving, you were a source of emotional and mental support during the „long“ waiting period.

The birth of my child was not easy. After 45 hours of active labor, it ended in a medically recommended C-section, which I ultimately requested myself.

Looking back, the birth was almost the complete opposite of what I had imagined and hoped for. One of the greatest lessons you tried to teach me from day one was to remain open to all possible outcomes. I understand now how important that wisdom was.

Throughout labor, you were a guardian of the birth space, always present, always attentive, and instinctively knowing when to step in and when to simply hold space. One of the moments I treasure most was moving through the waves of labor together with you. You also kept my family informed, allowing me to stay connected even during the most intense moments.

The postpartum period felt like a blur. You preserved the magic of my birth story in a way I never could have reconstructed on my own. The memories, reflections, and details you captured are a lifelong gift that I know I will return to again and again.
